Currently, the Mi Band 5 is Xiaomi’s most advanced activity bracelet, while the Honor Band 5 is from Honor. Both smart bands are now -and since their respective launches, which correspond to June of and July of 2019. Precisely for this reason is that in this new opportunity we will detail their characteristics and main technical specifications, in order to determine which bracelet is better and why.
To begin with, we are facing two activity bracelets with designs based on the typical, which is based on elongated and rectangular screens, although the one on the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 stands out from the bracelet, as it is embedded in a body that protrudes on the sides. and it is rounded, while the entire Honor Band is fully fused.
In terms of specifications, we have a 1.1-inch OLED screen on the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 and a 0.95-inch AMOLED screen on the Honor Band 5. Both are covered with resistant 2.5D type glass, they are touch and color.

Before going on to describe the main sports and activity tracking functions and features of these two activity bracelets, it is worth noting that both have Bluetooth 5.0 low consumption, with which they can be linked and synchronized with Android and iOS mobiles. They also come with NFC, but that option is only useful in China. They also come with connected GPS.
Now, both have a heart rate monitor, accelerometer and gyroscope, but only the Honor Band 5 has a SpO2 sensor for measuring the oxygen level in the blood. Of the rest, they can show data on steps taken, calories consumed, distance travelled and quality of sleep, among others.
On the other hand, both activity bracelets are capable of monitoring sports and activities such as cycling, running and swimming, as well as outdoor leisure modes and others. Here it is worth mentioning that they have a water resistance of 5 ATM (50 meters), so they can be submerged in swimming pools without suffering any problem.
With regard to autonomy, the first can reach 14 days of average use, while the Honor reaches up to 6 days. However, they can stay awake for up to 20 days, but with maximum energy savings.

Based on various other functions, they come with music control, but no storage available for it. The ROM in both cases is enabled only to store activity and training data.
The two smart bands also have the Find phone function, activity alerts, alarms, reminders, stopwatches and a timer. Also, only the Mi Band 5 has a virtual assistant, which is Xiaomi.
Based on the prices, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 and Honor Band 5 are located in the same range, which starts at 30 euros approx. up to 40 euros on platforms such as Amazon, in which they are available.
Conclusion!
It is difficult to establish which of these two activity bracelets is better since at the level of characteristics and technical specifications they are very similar. However, we find points of difference in favor of one and the other.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 5, meanwhile, has a larger screen, virtual assistant and better autonomy, while the Honor Band 5 has a SpO2 monitor, which is very useful, and even more so if you give it an I use fitness to the smart band.
Already for the price, we do not find notable differences, more than a few euros, depending on the place or online platform through which they are purchased.
