The Ticwatch 3 Pro Ultra is just 0.1 mm thinner than the previous model, and some reviewers want to notice these slight differences and think the Ultra would look a little more elegant.
Everyone should judge for themselves whether this is the case. But I think that the nobler look is due to the new bracelet, which is no longer made of simple silicone, but of fluorine rubber, causing a higher quality impression.
With a bar width of 22 mm, the bracelet corresponds to the standard and can be easily and conveniently exchanged using the quick-release fastener.
With a case diameter of around 47 mm, the Ticwatch Ultra is more suitable for solid wrists, so the new model, like the predecessor watch, is a stylish smartwatch among men.
Of course, the new smartwatch also features the innovative display technology typical for the manufacturer.
On the one hand, an AMOLED screen with high resolution and excellent color rendering was installed, guaranteeing perfect readability in almost all lighting conditions. On the other hand, the LCD screen is activated instead of a conventional always-on mode and shows the most important data such as time, date, number of steps, and heart rate in black and white.
This solution is much more energy-saving, which has a very positive effect on battery life.
As a small innovation, the Ticwatch 3 Pro Ultra offers the option of designing the LCD’s background in color and individually regulating the intensity of the background lighting.

There is also a slight change in the Ultra’s battery. The new model is equipped with a slightly smaller energy cell, which can still run for around 3 days with regular use.
3 days of operation without having to charge is quite decent for a modern smartwatch. But if you take a closer look, you should be able to expect a significantly longer runtime with an approximately 570 mAh battery.
The Huawei Watch 3 with a 450 mAh battery also manages 3 days, and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 with a 360 mAh battery lasts almost two days.
The Ticwatch Ultra needs so much energy that the powerful battery only lasts for three days. The battery life is overall okay, and many users will be satisfied.

The Ticwatch 3 Pro Ultra is one of the few smartwatches equipped with the Google Wear OS operating system. However, it is not the latest version that we know of Samsung watches.
Google services such as Maps, Play Store, voice assistant, or Google Pay can be used. The range of intelligent features is supplemented by notifications, a telephone function, an internal memory for music, Spotify offline, and the usual gadgets such as calendar, weather, or notes.
An LTE version of the Ultra is also expected to come onto the market soon, which will enable the watch to be fully used without a paired smartphone.

The Ticwatch 3 Pro Ultra can be used as a fitness tracker to record various everyday activities, and a sports watch to record your training.
In addition, steps, distance, calorie consumption, and sleep monitoring can be found on the watch. In addition, around 20 sport profiles are preinstalled, including distinct disciplines such as running, cycling or swimming, HIIT, rowing, tennis, or soccer.
But the Ultra also brings some innovations. First, the new HD PPG heart rate sensor should be mentioned, which is supposed to measure more precisely and is the basis for some other features.
This includes permanent monitoring of the heart rate, paying particular attention to pulse values that are too high or too low. If you suspect health-related symptoms such as atrial fibrillation, tachycardia, or bradycardia, you will receive a notification on your smartphone.
Another new feature is the 24-hour monitoring of your physical and mental condition. This feature measures your heart rate variability every 30 minutes, allowing specific conclusions about your current energy level.
We know similar functions, for example, from the Garmin Fenix 6 with the body battery or from the new Fitbit Charge 5, which will soon receive the daily form index.
The Ultra also measures blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), but only if the two functions just presented are temporarily deactivated. Unfortunately, it is not possible to operate all three features at the same time.
Conclusion!
The Ticwatch 3 Pro Ultra is an upgraded version of the previous model that offers a few new and exciting features but is very similar to the previous Ticwatch 3 Pro.
In terms of price, the two watches differed by around 50 USD, and everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to pay the higher price for the new functions.
Regardless of which watch you choose, you get a great smartwatch that leaves nothing to be missed, and, seen in this way, you can’t go wrong with either of the two Ticwatch watches.
