It has a Razer HyperScroll Tilt Wheel, 13 Zone Chroma Lighting with Full Underglow, Razer Optical Switches Gen-3, a 90-million click lifecycle, a Focus Pro 30K Sensor, and more.
The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro is the wireless version of the peripheral manufacturer’s flagship mouse, which was released in 2021.

The Roccat Kone XP Air looks stunning. Video game peripherals try too hard to look great while looking silly. The Roccat Kone XP Air balances over-the-top design with raw performance. The computer mouse is available in both white and black.
In addition to 3D RGB lighting, it has the manufacturer’s best optical sensor, a “Owl-Eye” with 19,000 DPI, Roccat’s Titan Optical switches, a 4D mouse wheel, and additional keys on top.

Razer Basilisk V3 Pro
Razer’s Basilisk V3 Pro is a gaming mouse. You can see this in the RGB lighting in the scroll wheel, logo, and Basilisk series’ sleek design. The mouse fits palm and claw grips well.
The mouse’s plastic feels and looks good. Outside rubber provides grip. At 112 grams, it’s heavier than Razer Basilisk Ultimate, but not too heavy. Razer uses 5 thick PTFE sliding surfaces on the underside to compensate for the mouse’s weight.
The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro has 11 programmable, easy-to-reach buttons. In addition to two thumb buttons, Razer installed a multifunction button in front of it that reduces sensor DPI for better aiming when pressed. It can be assigned macros or hypershift, like other keys. This mode activates a second key assignment level if you keep the latter pressed. The Ultimate version’s button could be replaced with a longer metal blade, but not the V3 Pro.
The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro uses third-generation optical mouse switches with a service life of up to 90 million clicks and 0.2 millisecond trigger times.
ROCCAT Kone XP Air
Despite having integrated batteries, the Roccat Kone Pro Air weighs just 75 grams, making it a lightweight gaming mouse. The right-handed mouse’s left shelf makes it easy to hold. Outside grip would have been great. Because of the Roccat Kone Pro Air’s smooth PTFE feet. Great for quick moves, tricky for precision. In these cases, reducing DPI makes sense, but the 5-button mouse lacks the extra switch – too bad!
Roccat has only subtly integrated RGB: A honeycomb design shimmers through the two main mouse buttons. We like the gaming mouse’s restrained design. The coating reduces mouse-hand sweating.
Roccat Kone Pro Air uses manufacturer-made parts. Let’s start with the owl-eye sensor, which delivers up to 19,000 DPI and is based on the popular and current PixArt PAW3370. Roccat uses the Titan Switch Optical for the two main mouse buttons, which is twice as durable as mechanical Omron switches. We don’t notice a difference, but resolution is perfect.
The Roccat Kone Pro Air wirelessly connects via 2.4 GHz USB dongle and Bluetooth. First for situations where fast clicks are important, second for smart TVs or tablets. We like that the USB dongle stores in the mouse’s bottom.Â
Conclusion!
If you have Basilisk Ultimate, an upgrade is less worthwhile because there are fewer innovations. The new Razer flagship has a better sensor than the Ultimate and wired version, and it meets modern standards.
If you want a gaming mouse with lots of functions, the latest technology, and the best comfort, you’ll love the Basilisk V3 Pro – but it costs $159. Razer isn’t the only company to offer enthusiast peripherals over $159.
If this gaming mouse is too expensive for you, consider the Basilisk Ultimate, which has a similar range of functions. Or you wait until the expensive hardware is cheaper.
The Logitech G502 Lightspeed is awesome. This costs around $120 depending on the offer. The wireless mouse is affordable despite not having a QI dock.
If you don’t have a wireless mouse or want a cheap gaming mouse from Razer with similar specs, try the Basilisk V3.
The biggest difference between Kone XP and XP Air is the wireless connection. The Kone XP Air is easy to use and offers similar services as the wired version. Even without this flaw, I wouldn’t recommend the Kone XP Air.Â
The ROCCAT Kone XP Air is currently priced at $169 on Amazon, which is higher than the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro, but it also includes a wireless dock. The Razer Basilist V3 pro bundle costs $229. So, in terms of price, the ROCCAT Kone XP Air is the clear winner here.
