Widgetsmith, which became famous in iOS 14 where you can put widgets on the home screen, is an application that allows you to place various widgets on the home screen and lock screen. Few people know about it.
There are several apps that allow you to put photo widgets on the lock screen, such as “Photowidget“, but after actually trying several, “Widgetsmith” introduced this time was the easiest to use.

Create a photo widget with widgetsmith
The flow of adding a widget that can launch an application independently to the lock screen using “Widgetsmith” is as follows. First, download the app from the App Store .

Launch Widgetsmith
After launching Widgetsmith and selecting the Lock Screen tab, tap Add Circular Widget to display the photo in a circle, or tap Add Rectangular Widget to display the photo horizontally.

If you want to display a single photo in the widget, select Photo, move to the Photo tab, press the Choose from Photos button, and select the photo you want to display on the lock screen.

Move the photo displayed in the preview to adjust its position. Select Isolate People to cut out the background. After adjusting, tap Save at the top right of the screen
Select album
If you want to display multiple photos, select Photos in Album, then go to the Album tab and select the album you want to display on the lock screen. After selecting, tap Save at the top right of the screen.
The albums displayed here can be created with the iOS standard photo app. Let’s create an album with the photos you want to display on the lock screen in advance.
