Paypal Can Now Track the Delivery Status: PayPal is adding new features to its app to compete with big online shopping platforms. Here’s what you need to know:
PayPal’s app can now track where your package is. If you link your Gmail account to PayPal, the app will automatically find and track your shipping details. This means you won’t need to type in the order number on the delivery company’s website or look through emails. If you don’t connect a Gmail account, you can still type in shipping details yourself, says TechCrunch.
The PayPal app will send live notifications to let you know about any changes in your delivery status or updates. Plus, there’s a cool map that shows you where your package is in real-time!
PayPal wants to compete with e-commerce giants with new functions
The best part? PayPal won’t charge extra for using the package tracking. Even if you buy something without using PayPal, you can still use this tracking feature. Package tracking was spotted by @aaronp613, who used to be on Twitter, first found this on an iPhone. But, Android phone users can use it too.
This new feature makes PayPal a strong competitor to big names like Shopify and Amazon. Both Shopify and Amazon already have package tracking. Shopify’s app tells customers when their order is on the way, when it will arrive, and shows a live map. Amazon’s map also shows where the delivery driver is and when they’ll reach your doorstep.
