HP ProBook x360 435 G8 vs HP Elite Folio Convertible

HP ProBook x360 435 G8 vs HP Elite Folio Convertible: Which Laptop is Better

The HP ProBook x360 435 G8 has the AMD Ryzen 5 5600U, a six-core processor with twelve threads. Its operating frequency is in the range of 2.3 GHz to 4.2 GHz. This modern solution is more than enough for most office tasks. The laptop will handle heavy applications and cope with multitasking. You can even open more than two tabs in Google Chrome!

The processor is built on a 7nm process technology on the Zen 3 architecture with a TDP of 15W. Such technologies can significantly increase battery life since the processor itself is energy efficient – the manufacturer of this model promises up to 17 hours of operation.

HP Elite Folio Convertible a WoA (Windows on ARM) machine equipped with Snapdragon on the CPU. This product is supposed to be a corporate model, but individual users can purchase the corporate model without any problems at the HP official store. Although it is a convertible 2 in 1 housing, it is not a general “hinge rotates 360 degrees” type, but it has a slightly irregular structure; the top plate and the bottom are covered with vegan leather, etc.

When talking about the HP Elite Folio, the CPU is probably the first thing you can’t miss. Instead of the x86 series by Intel and AMD, the Arms series SoC “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2” is adopted. While the operating clock is up to 3GHz with 8 cores, the TDP is only 7W, achieving both high performance and high-level power saving.
