Galaxy Tab S7 review 19 scaled 1

Google pixel slate an ultra-portable but highly professional large-sized tablet. A 12.3-inch molecular display is a touchscreen and it gives you a ton of screen real estate for everything from watching movies to gaming. You will be noticed about this device is that it’s big and that it’s heavy now maybe that’s because who used to using the Apple iPad or the Amazon Fire HD 8 lately but this tablet feels big and unwieldy. The actual dimensions are that it’s about seven millimeters thick and about 20 by 29 centimeters the weight is 1.6 pounds, spec nerds. The keyboard is pretty cool though with rounded lower case Keys backlit of course, and a nice soft quiet feel the shortcut keys for the home screen to maximize a window and to get quick launch settings up naturally. There’s also a Google Assistant button on the keyboard so you can ask your help whenever you need there’s also a big trackpad that’s handy and responsive too.

The S7 plus from Samsung is having potentially the best display on any tablet out right now because it’s an AMOLED display and goes all the way up to 120 hertz. This is a really thin tablet at the back you’ll see a bit of a strip here next to the rear camera system because you can actually just go ahead and magnetically put that s pen on the back of your tablet kind of nifty there and flipping it over at the bottom of the tab s7 plus is that docking mechanism. Along the right side of the tablet is one of the speakers you’ve got your USB type c slot for charging, and then another speaker and then moving along up towards the top is where that slot that micro sd card slot is for expanding your storage.

A microphone up at the top is where your volume rockers are and a power button, when looking at the left side of the tablet make note there’s a very small camera bump obviously, if the pen is on there it’s going to stick out, more you’ve got another speaker on the left side a microphone and then another speaker so dual speakers on both sides flipping it over on the back you’ll see the Samsung logo.

Talk about the performance of Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 then we’ll get into software experience one of those is good and the other is not so good. You can probably guess which is inside the tab s7 you get the latest snapdragon 865 plus chip from Qualcomm along with six gigs of ram and from 128 to 512 gigs storage that is expandable with a micro-sd card slot. Decent specs all the way around and the performance isn’t lacking anywhere it can handle pretty much anything you throw at it the 865 plus is a top tier CPU. The six gigs of ram might be a little bit lackluster if you intend to do some hardcore multitasking.

You still have to use your laptop or your desktop for more advanced workloads, but you also have your phone to do the lighter stuff like responding to emails or browsing social media, so the tablet just becomes rarely convenient to use and unfortunately. We think that’s where the tab S7 is positioned certain software features like dex, which turns your tablet into a more desktop-like experience, could have changed the game. But it feels half-baked, and it makes feeling like the developers kind of just gave up on it you couldn’t even get mouse support to properly work on it, without a significant amount of latency.

Talking about the performance of Pixel Slate, In real-time, the animation for multitasking legitimately takes several seconds and it’s everywhere scrolling is not fast loading pretty much anything is slow. You will feel like this whole UI runs very much slow, but especially in web browsing is usually much laggy and like no matter how many features you throw in here and, no matter how powerful Chrome OS can be you’ll never be able to use this tablet long enough to even discover half of that of its stuff because it’s just really the slower side. You will be surely noted that how much lag and choppiness there is everywhere and of course.

You will get 4 GB of ram 32 and 32 GB of internal storage and an internal Intel Celeron processor which you know that’s probably a bottleneck, so if you give them that benefit of the doubt you will have to spend about 800 bucks, which is the same as iPad pro money just to get out of Celoron world or maybe you should have gone with the i-5 but for Chrome OS. You will think like they shouldn’t, either way, they shouldn’t ship this one this is so sad honestly and you will have a lot of hope but you will haven’t been able to force yourself to use it long enough to dive into the more niche features.

Talking about the camera quality of the tab s7 whenever you go for the camera performance, they’re fine as far as a tablet goes. But you will have definitely seen better also while people prefer that manufacturers go with an ultra-wide instead of a telephoto on smartphones. We actually think it’s more useful to have a telephoto on tablets so that students can zoom in and take pictures of the whiteboard in a big lecture hall or something like that in any case the tablet can shoot up to 4k video at 30 frames per second if you’re into that. But don’t expect it to be the flagship smartphone to your video or photos for that matter all.

The Camera quality of the Pixel Slate is also good. It can also take some good shots, but the quality is not that good as the camera quality of the S7.

Multimedia

Google Pixel SlateSamsung Galaxy Tab S7
Headphone jackYesNo
SpeakersYesYes, with stereo speakers

The Pixel Slate gets a 3.5mm of headphone jack which very useful for the wired audio devices connection but unfortunately with S7, you won’t get any kind of headphone jack which may inconvenient for some peoples.

The speakers and sound quality of S7 are very good because of the use of the stereo speakers. But on the other with the Pixel Slate, the speakers and sound quality are not so good.

Battery Life

Google Pixel SlateSamsung Galaxy Tab S7

Quick ChargingYes
User ReplaceableNono

With the Pixel Slate, you will get a 4-cell and 48-watt-hours battery which gives you 12 hours of overall battery life which good for a device of this size. But on the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 gets an 8000 mAh battery which will give you 14.5 hours of total battery life, which is fairly longer than the Pixel Slate.

Connectivity

Google Pixel SlateSamsung Galaxy Tab S7
SIMNano-SIM
BluetoothYes5.0
Wifi802.11ac802.11ac
Sensorsaccelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass

In terms of connectivity, both devices get a Wi-Fi version of 802.11ac which will give you strong wifi connectivity. Also, both of the devices work with Bluetooth version 5.0 which gives you a strong 10m of connectivity range. But the S7 gives you the option of using a nano size sim card for in-built cellular network connectivity.

Which is better!

The Pixel Slate gets the Chrome OS and a host of other features by Google but it only looks good on paper. In the performance, the Pixel Slate is much more laggy and slow. But on the other hand, the S7 is superior in terms of performance as well as the camera and sound quality. So we suggest you go for a new and fresh product which is Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, for more practicality and performance.
