Edifier X3 vs Sudio Tolv

The Edifier X3 wireless headphones belong to the inexpensive price segment. For them, the manufacturer notes the presence of IPX5 protection and long battery life. Separately, it is said about the use of the Bluetooth 5.0 module with the aptX codec.

The kit includes a USB-C cable, two additional earpads, a user manual, and a warranty card. They are available in white and black colour.

With it, you can answer an incoming call, start or stop playback, switch tracks. Of the restrictions, you cannot control the volume. The Edifier X3 case is water and dust-resistant. Protection meets the requirements of the IPX5 class. They will be able to train and walk in the rain. The set includes a compact charging case, inside which they are fixed with magnets. Edifier X3 vs Sudio Tolv 2

The Edifier X3 is an ergonomically designed headset to fit more comfortably in your ears. The model is relatively small and light compared to others on the market. It has dimensions of 17.2 x 25 mm.

These headphones’ designs are portable, and the box is tiny. Even though it is plastic, it has a fascinating construction with a somewhat matte look, and it still uses the old standard micro USB charging cable.

The headphones also have a well-balanced construction. They follow a more rounded design, with pads for controls, and even though they’re not the same size as a Redmi Airdots and even a TWS1, they end up looking bigger when they’re in the ear.

One downside of the X3 is the blue LED on the side of the headphone and can be disturbing at night since it’s constantly blinking during use, but it’s so tiny.

The design and construction materials of SUDIO TOLV succeeded in all its aspects, and this is a product that stands out for its excellent and modern design with first-class materials.

This material with which the SUDIO TOLV transport and recharge box is made to understand each other is very reminiscent of the back of the first Moto G that was launched on the Android market.

As for the headphones themselves, it should be noted that we can find them in four different colours to match their cases

Edifier X3- The current Bluetooth 5.0 module is used for the connection. The aptX codec ran correctly with the OnePlus 8T smartphone. The connection is stable. The first time you connect, you will need to connect to each of the headphones separately, so in the future, each of them will allow you to use it in mono mode. When only one of them is connected, the second becomes the slave.

In terms of sound, everything is fine. Good balance with little effect of volume. There are both highs and lows. The main emphasis in the sound stage is placed on the middle frequencies. There is enough volume margin.

The fit is comfortable in the ears. When jumping and running, they do not fall out. We went to them on foot over long distances. They do not interfere with head movements; there is discomfort with prolonged wearing.

A built-in microphone allows you to answer an incoming call or send commands to your voice assistant. It is omnidirectional with no noise cancellation.

Sudio Tolv- The built-in Bluetooth 5.0 chip provides communication within a radius of up to 10 m. The connection is mostly stable, but occasionally the headphones still start to “stutter” and even “fall off. There is no lag when watching YouTube videos, but it will be quite noticeable in some games. SBC and AAC codecs are supported.

Sudio Tolv is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems. There is no proprietary software, so you won’t be able to adjust the equalizer, change the controls or find out the battery charge of the case.

Audio Quality

The best way to describe the sound quality of the Edifier X3 headphones is friendliness. The high frequencies are in good shape; they sound clear and correct. The bass never tires you without hitting too hard. The bass delivers a balanced, albeit somewhat cold sound that’s ideal for everyday and background listening.

At low frequencies, there is sub-bass, which gives a subtle, pleasant rumble. The bass delivers a smooth kick that doesn’t hit as hard as the competition.

The stereo sound on the Edifier X3 is also pretty decent, with the musical instruments and vocals coming out to my left and right clearly and in detail. In general, Edifier X3 headphones have a balanced, clear sound, without solid bass, but with a pleasant sound.

They look pretty good. We can’t decide another thing from these Sudio Tolv, and it’s just that the audio quality is excellent to be an in-Ear earphone with an adjusted price; we won’t have power problems and autonomy buffer because we’ve explained it before. It’s spectacular.

The variety of colours does the rest, and in this case, the ones we have are white, but there is a varied colour palette to choose from.

Sudio Tolv- The 50 mAh battery in the right earphone lasts about 5.5 hours of playback, in the left earpiece – for 6.5 hours. The case allows you to charge the headset four more times, which gives about 27 hours of operation stereo mode.

Conclusion!

Edifier X3 – Inexpensive TWS headphones with aptX codec support. Long battery life, touch control, dust and water resistance, neat appearance, replaceable ear pads included. The disadvantages include the lack of volume control.

Although Sudio Tolv is twice as expensive as their Chinese counterparts, the price fully justifies itself. There are better materials and assembly, greater autonomy, and the sound is just a head start. In addition, there is no discomfort during prolonged use; the headphones do not fall out while running, and the control is conveniently implemented.
