The size of these tablets is basically identical Lenovo is a hair thicker and a little bit wider but it’s also got a 10.3 inch versus 10.1 inches so it’s got a little bit less bezel around the edges. We think in terms of look and design Lenovo looks a little more modern but both look really good in person.
Performance

Now which one of these has better overall performance the Samsung actually has better specs but Lenovo actually wins in a multi-core score with 894 where Samsung only has 594 Samsung is faster at pretty much everything involving the software as you’re moving around apps open up apps.
Camera
Tab M10 FHD Plus | Galaxy Tab A 10.1
Rear | 5 MP | 8 MP |
Front | 2 MP | 5 MP |
Flash | Yes | Yes |
Video Recording | – | No |
Now when it comes to which have the better cameras both of these are not great but Samsung has the slightly better rear camera and a slightly better front camera and it’s actually quite a bit better on the front camera again we would not recommend using cameras on tablets you’re definitely gonna get much better results using your cell phone.
Multimedia
Tab M10 FHD Plus | Galaxy Tab A 10.1
Headphone jack | Yes | Yes |
Fm Radio | Yes | – |
Now when it comes to better speakers we prefer the setup on Lenovo a little bit better where it’s on each side of the tablet. Even though they have pretty much no bass compared to the Galaxy Tab. The Galaxy Tab speakers have a little bit better overall balance instead of mostly highs like on the Lenovo tablet. The overall loudness on both is just average it definitely could be louder on both. Both of these also have Dolby Atmos but it doesn’t really seem to help Lenovo too much and you’ll definitely get a better experience using headphones so We have to give this one a Samsung when it comes to which has the better speakers.
Battery Life
Tab M10 FHD Plus | Galaxy Tab A 10.1
Capacity | 7000 mAh | 6150 mAh |
Fast Charging | No | No |
Type | Li-Polymer | Li-Polymer |
Now when it comes to better battery life this one isn’t as close as you would think. We did a battery drain test with the screen brightness at 100% streaming continuous videos. Samsung lasted six and a half hours before finally dying where Lenovo only lasted four and a half hours which is kind of sad really. It’s got to be one of the lowest on battery life that we’ve tested. They both take about three hours to charge back up from zero to 100%.
Connectivity
Tab M10 FHD Plus | Galaxy Tab A 10.1
Bluetooth | v4.2 | v5.0 |
Wifi | Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n/n 5GHz | Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n |
USB OTG | Yes | Yes |

Which is better!
Lenovo is starting to get more cases available now but Samsung is definitely dominating when it comes to getting accessories. Especially when you’re looking for a case there for a while you couldn’t find any for the Lenovo so at least there’s a handful of options out there now.
Now in this comparison, you can see Samsung wins most categories but we wouldn’t let that fool you Lenovo is cheaper and we really like this Lenovo tablet and we would have no problems recommending it over the Galaxy Tab a 10.1 even though technically Samsung makes a better product.
