Firstly we talk about the Hi 10 Air, let’s start with the front we have a high IPS screen rocking 10.1 inches a little disappointing considering these huge bezels, to be honest, it’s quite a bit of wasted space. But this is an all-in-one tablet so the bevels are being taken up because of the extra components this allows for extra features such as that touch-sensitive windows button and quite a measly two megapixels of front-facing webcam. On the top, you will have your volume rockers and power button and on the left, we have all the other ports quite an impressive step up it got micro USB ports type C HD micro SD cards and a 3.5-megapixel earphone port. On the bottom, we have our magnetic connection to our keyboard you will have to admit the keyboard doesn’t feel cheap at all it has a bit of weight to it making the construction build feel quite solid. Once connected you will also have access to the two USB slots on the side of the keyboard the contrast between the tablet connected to the keyboard.
Now talk about the design and build of the Surface Go, it’s a well-built sturdy device the main body is made of magnesium alloy and it has a smooth finish but it’s not that slippery the sides they are rounded. So it’s comfortable to hold in the end that is also a shiny Microsoft logo on the RAM and then there is this kickstand which has an infinite adjustable position. It’s sturdy you will like this kickstand in your lap you won’t feel any discomfort. But since it’s a small device using it on your lap it’s not an ideal thing. The camera is flushed and that’s a good thing and for the buttons, you get a power button and volume rocker which are of good quality, and this tactile you also get a micro SD card slot hidden inside the kickstand. You get the Microsoft proprietary charging port a USB type C put this USB C port can be used for charging if you have a USB C charger and that is also a headphone jack you don’t get a USB port so if you have the old USB pen drives you to need to get a dongle for that. The bottom section has pins for connecting the Microsoft keyboard they’re just a must if you want a really good experience with this product. Finally on the front is the display which has Gorilla Glass 3 so that’s a good thing you also get the front-firing stereo speakers on either side.
Performance

Processor | Intel X5 Z8350 Quad Core | Gold Processor 4415Y |

Internal storage | 64 GB | 64 GB/128 GB |
Storage expansion | TF card up to 128GB | – |
OS | Windows 10 Home | Windows 10 Pro |
Let’s talk about the processor and its performance the processor that powers the surface go is an Intel Pentium Bowl processor the just Intel HD graphics 615 and it’s not a high-end processor like the i5 or the i7. So keep that in mind in case you’re looking to buy this now it’s not something like the Intel Atom processor which was really bad this thing does common day-to-day tasks really well.tassks like browsing the internet sending emails reading PDF using Microsoft Office apps playing light games. Then some multitasking with three or four tabs open that’s all fine and it works perfectly at least on the model. You can easily do intense stuff like running AutoCAD or MATLAB or software’s like that you will be able to do some light photo editing but this thing is for doing basic stuff and getting your basic work done. If you understand its limits and you buy it based on that you can say its performance is good. The Surface Go runs on Windows 10 S mode and you can turn it off instantly because s mode is like a restricted mode where you can’t install apps from outside the Windows Store. Since the Windows Store doesn’t have much as the s mode doesn’t make any sense but since Microsoft lets you turn it off for free and without any difficulty that’s not an issue.
If we talk about the performance of the H10 Air then the weakest link of the H10 Air is the performance. It gets an Intel Cherry Trail x5 Z8350 processor that has a maximum clock ad of 1.92 GHz. Besides this, the memories are also not so fast, it gets 64 GB storage in eMMC format and 4 GB of RAM. The performance is very lackluster and only allows some basic operations like Web browsing, Office suite, Video Streaming, and little more. It occasionally runs on Android and with the attached keypad it works on Windows that also makes it very slower in terms of performance.
Camera
CHUWI Hi10 Air | New Microsoft Surface Go
Rear | 2 MP | 8 MP with autofocus |
Front | 2 MP | 5 MP Primary Camera |
Video recording | Yes | 1080p HD video |
The Surface Go offers an 8 MP camera with autofocus at the rear and a 5 MP primary camera at the front. The camera quality of both of the cameras of Surface go is good and does the job very well. On another side, Hi10 Air gets 2 MP cameras on both of side at front and rear but the camera quality is not so good feels very cheap.
Multimedia
CHUWI Hi10 Air | New Microsoft Surface Go
Headphone jack | Yes | Yes 3.5 Jack |
Loudspeaker | – | Yes |
Audio Feture | – | 2W stereo speakers with Dolby |
Both of the devices get a 3.5mm of headphone jack which is very convenient for media connectivity. The Surface Go gets 2W dual speakers with surround sound which works exceptionally well you will definitely enjoy its sound quality. But the sound quality of Hi10 Air is not so good, that it can’t be compared with the Surface Go’s sound quality.
Battery Life
CHUWI Hi10 Air | New Microsoft Surface Go
Battery Life | 6500mAh | Upto 9 hrs |
Cell | 2 | 4 |
Fast Charging | 24.05 Watt Hours | 46.5 Watt Hours |
With Hi10 Air you will get a 6500 mAh battery which gives you a battery life of 8 hours it gets an option of fast charging with the help of 24.5 Watts fast charger. On the other hand with the Surface Go, you will get a 26.1Wh battery which returns you a battery life of 9 hours on a single charge. It also gets the option of fast charging with the 46.5Watts fast charger.
Connectivity
CHUWI Hi10 Air | New Microsoft Surface Go
Sim | – | – |
Bluetooth | v4.0 | v4.1 |
Wifi | 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac | IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax |
Sensors | Gyroscope, Magnetometer | Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer Gyroscope, Magnetometer |
With the Surface Go you get the option of using the sim car for inbuilt network connectivity it supports LTE which is a great thing. Also, the Surface Go works with Bluetooth version 4.1 which has decent connectivity not bad but if their Bluetooth 5.0 then it will be great. On the other hand, the Hi10 Air doesn’t give you the option to use the sim card with it. Also its works with Bluetooth version 4.0. In terms of Wi-Fi connectivity, both devices are good and you won’t find issues with these devices regarding the connectivity.
Which is better!
Both of these devices come on different price points in the market so both have a fairly good price difference between them. Also, the Surface Go is a pure Windows tablet whereas we can say that the Hi10 Air is a hybrid product that can occasionally handle two operating systems. But the performance of the Hi10 Air is so lacklustre that you won’t enjoy it while you using this device. So we suggest you that to spend some more money and go for Surface Go to buy a proper product which can give you a decent performance.
