Let’s start with the design. Cambridge Audio Melomania Touch has opted for an elegant case, with a synthetic white leather surface enjoyable to the touch, all in an oval shape, which gives a high-end and qualitative first impression.
We find a logo subtly inscribed on the top of the box and five LEDs to indicate the battery on the front of this box. This box offers us a battery life of 41 hours when it charges the headphones (on paper) and a charge by USB-C; the wireless charging mode is not being present on this model.
The case opens from the upper side and, once the box is open, two small headphones are lying down. These headphones have a battery life of 9 hours (on paper) and have LEDs indicating the battery status. We notice a simple and elegant design, which slips easily into the ear. A light tap will be enough to engage the connection mode before a small voice indicates to you, “Power On.” Once the headphones are on and in the ears, both headphones are displayed. Indeed, unlike some other models, the Melomania Touch first pairs with one of the two headphones (right or left), then transmit the audio to the second, then you are asked whether or not you want to pair the two headphones.
This system dividing the right and left earbuds seems complex but is simpler because if you only want to use one earbud, you have to take it out, and it will automatically connect. If you later want to use the second, you have to take it out, and the earpiece will connect to the first. If this seems practical on paper, it is a little less practical in reality because there is a lapse of time of several seconds between the moment you put the headphones in your ear, the moment they turn on ( “Power On”), and the moment it connects (“ Melomania connected” ).
Urbanista London comes in a small and stylish charging case that fits easily in your pocket. There is a battery status indicator on the front, and when the case is opened, the four lights reveal how much is left. They come in selecting four premium finishes: black, rose/rose gold, white, and blue.
Its case is simple and elegant and has different degrees of light depending on the load that the device has. The headphones are inserted into the mold of the case with small magnets on their pins, which makes them charge correctly and not dance inside the case.
Regarding the range of colors, we have Midnight Black (black), Rose Gold (pink), White Pearl (white), and Dark Sapphire (dark blue), the latter being the variety that we have analyzed. These are quite basic colors, where black and white suit most users while dark blue and metallic pink give a touch of personality for those who want to change.
And if you were missing a more daring and less typical color, you are in luck because on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; they have also launched Burgundy Red, a groundbreaking color.

The Melomania Touch came to us in black or white. In addition, Cambridge Audio renews the efficient storage/recharging/transport box system, and the thing evolves to convert to the USB-C standard.
Here we are on a fairly well-balanced sound, although Cambridge Audio has emphasized the bass. Indeed, we find here good big sharp bass, enough to serve rock lovers. However, if you are not a fan of this strong bass, it is possible to reduce them via the equalizer available in the Melomania application. Apart from that, the sound reproduced is very powerful; we generally do not exceed 35%. Be careful all the same with the saturation, which tends to arrive quickly when the sound increases.
As for the treble and mids, they are present without taking too much space. If you nevertheless find that it is missing, this is also adjustable in the Melomania app via the equalizer. Therefore, the voice and the instruments are fairly well balanced in pieces and take well to the ear to listen to the music as well as possible. On the latency side, we are here on about 1 second of delay, which is more than correct even for watching videos/series…
Also, we hear a powerful and clear voice on the call, although a little too loud sometimes, depending on how the other party is on the phone.

These Urbanista London are equipped with several classic features today for wireless headphones but still useful: gestures. You can pause or play your music by double-tapping the logo on the left earphone, turn the volume up and down by tapping the logo on the right and left earphones once, or respond to incoming calls by double-tapping one of the headset logos. A lot of features are also there; you can find them all in the user manual.
Then, Urbanista London is equipped with ear detection, similar to what can be found on the Oppo Enco. This means that the music pauses when you remove one of the earbuds and resumes when you put it back on.
Audio quality is also at the top of Urbanista London. Headphones deliver clear sound. However, we have a small complaint to make in terms of frequency balancing. We find a little too much bass and not enough medium. It’s a blot because it can sometimes interfere with listening; for example, listening to drill or the bass is very present.
Apart from this concern of balancing frequencies, listening, whether it is music or series, videos, etc., remains very pleasant, and the sound is nevertheless obvious.
