We are going to compare for key specifications of both of these tablets. Starting with the display both tablets get a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1080p which is very for this segment’s laptop. The display also works quite well and does a good job on both of the tablets for animations and for watching videos.
Also, both tablets use the same Kirin 659 chipset which works well on both of these devices and there is no lag in terms of performance and operation.
But when we talk about the internal memory and RAM then Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite is much better because of its 4 GB RAM and 64 GB Internal Memory whereas Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Edition unfortunately only offers 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory.
Also in terms of Camera, the M5 Lite is much better than the Fire HD 10. The Fire HD 10 offers only a 2 Mega Pixel Camera but on the other hand, the M5 Lite offers a much better 8 Mega Pixel camera with a good camera quality than the Fire HD 10. The M5 Lite’s camera quality is very good if we compare it with the price range on which it served in the market.
Also, the M5 Lite offers a fingerprint sensor placed on the front side of the tablet. But on the other hand, the Fire HD 10 disappointingly doesn’t offer any fingerprint sensor which is kind of weird for the buyers. The fingerprint sensor of M5 Lite has a good response and it works brilliantly.

Both tablets look very different and follow very different design language’ Starting with the M5 Lite it uses a plastic body which makes fairly light in weight also M5 lite less thick than the Fire HD 10. Metal unibody design with curved glass edges to help make it feel more comfortable in the hands there’s no curve to display but the glass on the front of the display is curved there’s some slight slipping through the hands when lightly twisting the tablet which makes us think it’s not gonna hold up well if it’s twirling on or tossed but to be fair most tablets don’t have a very high structural intensity because of their large thin profile but this thing does not happen with the M5 lite.
On the other hand, the Fire HD 10 is much thicker and thinner and also feels that it has much more weight than the M5 light. The Fire HD 10 is fairly bigger in terms of size but has the same display area as M5 lite But unlike M5 lite it doesn’t have any issues of slipping through hands because of thicker plastic body pannels which holds in your hands very clearly and cleanly. The weight of both of the tablets is the same and both have good sturdy and durable built quality.

Starting with the M5 lite, Huawei used its own Kirin 659 Chipset. This octa-core engine is coupled with the 4 GB of RAM which drives it for enough performance for daily use for youngsters or for kids. This chipset handles the multimedia and PDFs and files loading very well and it works quite smoothly and you won’t find any issues until you use it for gaming. It is not really made for gaming and when you use it you will also feel the same thing.
The Fire HD 10 Also uses the same Chipset but is coupled with a comparatively smaller RAM of 2 GB and has less internal memory because of which it can not match the performance that offers by the M5 Lite. But for reading books and for loading PDF and Word files it doesn’t have any issues but when it comes to large files it will surely struggle in terms of performance.

Front | 2 MP | 8 MP |
Video recording | 720p HD | 1080p@30fps |
When we talk about the camera quality of both of these devices, both use very different cameras and which is very evident when you check the Cameras of both of the tablets. The M5 lite uses the 8 MP camera for both front and rear which have very good quality clicks photos very sharply.
On the other hand, the Camera offer with the Fire HD 10 is 2MP at the front and rear which can not match the camera quality of the M5 Lite. Also with M5 Lite, you will get good quality for video recording.

Loudspeaker | Yes | Yes |
In terms of media controls, both tablets are very good with the combination of physical buttons and touch sensitivity having fairly easy controls on media like streaming videos of listening songs. Both tablets use the 3.5mm jack for connectivity and that works very well on both devices.
In terms of sound quality the M5 Lite coupled with the Harman Kardon speakers which improves its audio and sound much better than the Fire HD 10.

If we talk about the battery life the M5 Lite comes with a 7500 mAh battery that can easily provide battery life up to 10 hours. But the battery life of Fire HD 10 is much better than 12 hours of battery life. Both tablets get the option of fast charging. The batteries on both of the tablets are non-removable.

Also, both tablets give you the option to connect your tablet with the other devices with the help of a micro USB cable.
Which is better!
Both of the tablets are very similar in terms of display size, processor, and some features. But we suggest you go for M5 Lite because the performance, camera quality, and also the sound quality of M5 lite is much better than the Fire HD 10. Also, the M5 Lite gives you the option of SIM card insertion which increases its practicality.
