The key specs here well 27-inch screen size and of course, it’s flat which is my preference for 16:9 monitors one-millisecond rate of response times not unusual for a TN. But we’ll see how that fares later Adaptive syncs support with FreeSync to HDR although no Vaser display HDR spec and a regular retail price of 650 US dollars. At 650 dollars it is a premium product as you’d expect for something high-end and most striking thing when you take the HP Omen X 27.

Out of the box is its unique design that lots of monitor companies these days stick with. The basic pronged metal stand with a pillar is quite functional and looks good most of the time. It is a bit heavy monitor with a weight of 7.1 Kgs and unfortunately, it doesn’t offer a webcam set up which is very essential nowadays. But the overall design looks nice and it is very striking and sharp.

HP Omen X 27 Screen

Let’s talk about the combination of 1440p and 240 Hertz we are getting adaptive sync here so it works with AMD and NVIDIA GPUs plus low framerate compensation as you expect from a modern gaming monitor. It having a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels with a 240Hz refresh rate.

If you’re thinking you can run modern Triple-A games at above 165 fps in 2020 even with a GeForce R-TX-2080-TI then think again while the 2080-TI is undoubtedly a high-end GPU in the most demanding titles. You’re looking to use it between 100 and 140 FPS using ultra settings at 1440p then that allows you to max out a 1440p 144-hertz display most of the time. But it isn’t gonna make a 240 Hertz display worth it.

The color combinations are also good and the way contrast and brightness feel during gaming one will definitely enjoy playing games on it. So in other words, you will definitely consider it a good gaming screen in this category.

Getting into the ports, the ports are also quite limited we do get a two-port USB hub and an easy to access headphone jack but there are just one DisplayPort and one HDMI input that’s good enough for a single PC and single console connection. But plenty of other monitors these days have three or four ports which are what you’d have liked to see from this premium product.

With the help of the above table, you can be observed that the HP Omen X 27 requires a 100 to 240 Vac of the input voltage when you use it on a running mode and also it required an external power adaptor.

Conclusion!

The HP Omen X 27 is a great monitor that delivers excellent performance. It’s just one of those more niche offerings for a super high-end audience. There is a place for it in the market impeccably. It has some positive points Such as, it has a very good response time and input lag performance, AMD FreeSync up to 240Hz, also have Clear and crisp details thanks to high pixel density and importantly great colors for a TN panel display. But its price is quite high so you get even better features and display quality with other brands like Asus and Gigabyte and as compared to a lower price point.
