Sharp Launches 100-inch TV with 288Hz Refresh rate

Sharp Launches 100-inch TV with 288Hz Refresh rate. Japanese electronics giant Sharp is preparing to launch a 100-inch TV in China, with more details revealed via an online listing. Although no official announcement has been made on the Chinese e-commerce platform yet, the listing gives us a glimpse of the upcoming product.

This TV boasts an impressive 288Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth visuals, along with 224-zone backlighting for improved contrast and HDR performance. Gamers will appreciate the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) support for smooth, stutter-free gameplay. There seems to be plenty of connectivity options, including an HDMI 2.1 port that lets you stream games directly to your TV at high frame rates.

Under the hood, a quad-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage runs the operation. Audio functions are handled by a built-in 60W speaker system.

The listing shows a pre-sale price of 29,999 Yuan (about $4,300) and suggests a release date of December 31st. Sharp hasn’t officially confirmed these details, but the presence of the listing suggests an announcement could be imminent.

Sharp also unveiled two new products in November: Sharp FQ8 and Sharp FQ5. Both are 4K TVs with a 120Hz native refresh rate and a maximum brightness of up to 500 nits. The TV also has HDR certifications such as Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, and HLG.

Additionally, the TV comes with Google TV OS pre-installed. For audio, Sharp has provided 15W speakers and a subwoofer that are Dolby Atmos certified.
